    Il ministro della sanità De Lorenzo venne arrestato per aver intascato una mega tangente da 600 milioni di lire pagata dalla GLAXO S. K. per rendere obbligatoria la vaccinazione contro l'epatite B. Ancora oggi tale vaccinazione è obbligatoria e il dottor De Lorenzo non è mai stato radiato dall'albo dei medici.
    Lo stesso vaccino è stato ritirato dal mercato francese per aver causato numerosi casi di sclerosi multipla risarciti dallo stesso governo.
    Nonostante tutto in Italia continuiamo a iniettarlo (Engerix-b) ad adulti e obbligatoriamente ai bambini (legge Lorenzin).
