1.Monsters and Monster Families

Popular monster families such as the Fallen, Khazra, and Skeletons will return in Diablo IV. The Cannibals and the Drowned, cursed zombies from the sea, are two new additions to Diablo IV. Diablo IV will feature the return of Treasure Goblins from Diablo III.

2.Elites and Champions

Elites and Champions are commonplace in the Diablo series. Champions will only appear in Nightmare (World Tier 3) and higher difficulties.

These powerful monsters come with a plethora of new and ancient affixes. Shock Lance, for example, creates a revolving lightning beam that is comparable to Diablo III's Arcane Enchanted affix save for the element shift.

Suppressor, one of the new affixes, creates a wide bubble around the Elite, making them immune to any ranged assault (including spells) from outside of the bubble. Enhancing affixes are a new type of affix that improves a monster's base abilities. creatures with the Multishot affix, for example, may shoot three projectiles instead of one, or resurrect three creatures instead of one.

3.Bosses and World Bosses

Many bosses will have to be vanquished in Diablo IV. Duriel, Andariel, The Blood Bishop, and The Drowned Witch are a few instances.

For the first time in the franchise's history, World Bosses will be included in Diablo IV. To battle these bosses, a high number of players are required. Harder versions of these globe bosses, which you fight in a group, are being discussed.

4.Combat and Combat Mechanics

The visceral fighting of Diablo III serves as the foundation for combat in Diablo IV. When compared to Diablo III, Diablo IV's fighting is more deliberate. Tactical decisions will be more important during conflict, and the creators will also strive to provide greater clarity on the battlefield while raising the stakes through difficulty.

In previous versions of Diablo, an AoE or melee talent dealt a single region of damage on a single frame. Target areas in Diablo IV are animated over many frames, allowing the animated target areas to be aligned with the animation visual effects that play out. This provides a slight time element to a wide range of skills.

5.Monster Level Scaling

The scaling of monster levels will not be totally addressed. Minimum and/or maximum monster levels will be set for each area. Furthermore, the monster level will scale to your character's level, allowing you to play with pals at any moment. Level scaling is being tried in many forms, and like with other features, this is subject to change.
